Thanksgiving 2023

Welcome to Hotel Tapto Jungfrugatan 57 Thursday November 23nd and the English-Speaking Community Clubs 44th Anual Thanksgiving Celebration!

Our welcoming bowl and mingle will start at 5:30 followed by a traditional turkey buffe” at 6:00.

Remember! Payment at the door will be 325kr
To get the club discount, payed-up ESCC members must pay only 200kr  in the clubs bankgiro 5564-2607 by the Monday the 20th.
The hotel will then get a check-off list of pre-payed Thanksgiving guests.
Please sign-up with me so that I, in turn, may inform the kitchen as to how many turkeys to chase down!

And if you have questions or special diet needs!

At the ESCC AGM held on February 26

At the ESCC AGM held on February 26, 2023, there was a suggestion from

the floor that a special general meeting be held to further discuss the

future of our Club, with respect to its budget and finances.

 

This meeting will be held via Zoom on Sunday, June 4th starting at 1:00

pm. and is for all paid-up members.

A Cordial Invitation to our 2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM)!

For the 1st time in 3 years !!! …. this year’s AGM will be LIVE (not Zoom!)

All members are most welcome and encouraged to attend!

The date: Sunday, February 26.    The time: 1:30 pm – 4:00pm

The Venue:   Hotel Tapto, Jungfrugatan 57, Stockholm

 

Here is your opportunity to elect your representatives to the ESCC Board, and to discuss activities for 2023-2024 at the Town Hall Meeting, after refreshments.

 

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday, February 26th offers an opportunity to influence the direction of the Club by electing the members of the ESCC Board, and by sharing your views with fellow members. Nominations will be accepted until February 12th. Seven members will be elected including specific nominations for president, secretary, membership secretary, and treasurer. We want the Board to reflect the diversity of our members.

The Board represents members, sets policy, and plans activities. By serving on the Board, you can make a significant difference to your fellow members. Aside from contributing to the Club and celebrating the English language and cultures, you will also gain an excellent opportunity to make new friends.

Thanksgiving 2022

Welcome to the ESCC Annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner for 2022!

It will be held at the Clarion Collection Hotel Tapto, Jungfrugatan 57, quite near the Stadion Subway Station on Valhallavägen on Thursday, November 24th beginning at 5:30 PM. The Hotel is preparing the holiday dinner, especially for us, and the cost will be 225 kr per person (excluding beverages). For fully paid-up ESCC members who sign up on or before Monday, November 21st by paying 125 kr to the ESCC BankGiro number 5564-2607 and providing your name(s), the Club will pay the 100 kr per person difference. Please sign up as soon as possible so we can let Tapto know how many will be coming. The Tapto Reception will check off the names of those who have signed up in advance. Others, both members, and guests are welcome, but they will need to pay 225 kr at the door.
