ESCC PUB EVENING
There is going to be an ESCC Pub Evening on Friday 23 October 2009.
The place and time hasn’t yet been decided, in order to give everyone who has signed up the opportunity of choosing the pub we’re meeting at, and the ‘official’ starting time - when we actually sit down together and order food. (Drinking can of course start and finish at any time!)
So if you want to come, you are very welcome to sign up with me, Peter Dulley, as soon as possible, stating your preferred pub and when you want to eat. I will then reserve tables at the pub which is chosen by most members.
Please understand that in order to reserve tables I have to guarantee that most (and preferably all) of those who have signed up are going to eat something as well.
If everyone eats something it also gives me a stronger position when negotiating the method of paying for what we have consumed. (I suggest that as far as possible we pay individually for what we consume, and certainly do this if and when we come early and buy drinks beforehand.)
Another thing you can do when signing up is to say whether you have appreciated the quizzes that Sam Fleming has prepared for us recently and how often you would like to have them. If you have any other suggestions please make them! (Why don’t we play darts, dominoes or even pool sometimes?)
